Shimano Deore LX Cantilever Brakes Front + Rear Set BR-M565 BR-M565-M Black
These brakes came from a mid 90s Proflex mountain bike and worked well when they were mounted. There is some cosmetic weathering, and the little gray plastic rings around the mounting bolts are cracked with age. The original Deore DX pads have a lot of life in them and seemed to work fine in dry conditions. This is the BR-M565-M brake model. From what I understand it was optimized for medium sized frames so that bigger tires wouldn’t rub against the straddle cables. The brake arms are identical to BR-M565 brakes, I think the cables are slightly longer. Feel free to ask any additional questions via message.
