New-Old-Stock Shimano “600 Ultegra” Aero Seatpost (Size 26.0 mm x 200 mm)

New-Old-Stock Shimano “600 Ultegra” Aero Seatpost (Size 26.0 mm x 200 mm) Thank you for your interest in this item and please visit our store for other offerings. We have very reasonable shipping terms and combine orders to save money (for customers) on shipping costs. We also maintain customer friendly return/refund/exchange policies. Product Description: This offering is for a new-old-stock Shimano 600/Ultegra aero style seatpost. Some of it’s more prominent design features and specs include the following… Size: 26.0 mm (post/pillar diameter) Total length: 200 mm (measured from the middle of the saddle clamp to the bottom of the pillar) Usable length (max): 140 mm (measured from the middle of the saddle clamp to the limit line) Off set: 25 mm to 30 mm range (and we define off set as the horizontal distance from the center of the post/pillar to the center of the seat clamp bolt…and in this particular case…the clamp bolt is fitted in a slotted opening that allows for some off set adjustment when the clamp bolt is loosened). Weight: 276 grams (per our digital postal scale) Other notes: The post/pillar and nearly all the saddle clamp parts are made from an aluminum alloy. The saddle clamp bolt and washer are made from a chromoly steel. We hardly see any of these on the market in any size, especially in nos condition (and still in their original retail box). They appear to be very well made, with thick aluminum alloy pillar tubing (that is ribbed on the inside) and good quality aluminum alloy headparts. The functional quality appears similar to some of the nos Campagnolo seatposts we also have available, but the finish work is not quite as nice as the Campy models. More specifically, the pillar has been polished, but the finish-work is not on par with the mirror-like finish of the Campy seatposts…although it’s still nice. Shimano has also branded the pillar with the label “Shimano 600” and although understated, it’s a nice touch that identifies the brand/groupset. In terms of condition, the small lot of these seatposts are still retail boxed, so they show fairly well. Although, I do see some blemishes (i.e., marks/scratches/scuffs) on each unit and I don’t know that the finishing/polishing work is quite as nice as some of the vintage Campagnolo seatposts we have dealt with over the years. I don’t mean to dissuade anyone from considering one of these seatposts, as they are still fairly nice and quite rare, but I have a habit of sharing everything I see in person (good or bad)…even if some of my observations do not show up in the pictures. Listing Update…Please also understand we may have multiple units available, but we will update the pictures to reflect the next seatpost to sell (so the seatpost pictured is the exact seatpost being offered next among the units we have left in stock). I’ve also attempted to take some close-up pictures of all sides of the pillar, so you can see the blemishes I’ve attempted to describe above. Note to international customers regarding shipping… We apologize to those that feel some of our international shipping charges are too high. We only charge actual shipping rates, but once an order exceeds a certain amount, we hesitate to use the least expensive US Postal Services First Class International service. We feel this way, because this service is not trackable or insurable…so more risk of loss. We prefer the US Postal Services Priority Mail International service for more expensive orders, because this service is trackable at USPS.com and insurable…so less risk of loss. Unfortunately, this service is more expensive, especially for smaller/lighter packages, relative to the First Class International service. We are sorry about these higher shipping costs, but hopefully our notes help to explain why this is the case. Note to international customers regarding customs… We also apologize to those that feel their country import taxes, duties and brokerage fees are excessive. As a small US business, we are required by customs’ laws to declare each order as a retail sale. Additionally, the declared order value must be equal to total store purchases and/or winning auction bids (less any shipping costs, as these are not considered in the declared value). As a result, each customer will be responsible for paying his/her own country taxes, duties and brokerage fees, which will be collected upon delivery. Again, we apologize for these additional costs, but we cannot afford the penalties and fines that come with breaking customs’ laws…so we have to strictly abide by them.
