NOS Vintage 7 9/16″ or 192mm Torrington Double Butted Spokes for Vintage 20″ Schwinn & Prewar Tank Ballooner Bikes (With Option Choices) Vintage (NOS) New Old Stock Torrington 192mm or 7 9/16″ Rust less Steel Double Butted Spokes. Your Choice of options from the pull down menu. High Quality Torrington Rust less Spokes with pronounced double butting with 14 gauge on the ends and 15 Gauge in the middle of the Spokes. These are spokes for building Vintage Balloon Tire 20″ x 2.125″ Wheels. NEW OLD STOCK Doesn’t Get Better than this. These Spokes are 1/16″ shorter that factory recommended but work fine for Prewar 20″ Drop Center Rims and Postwar Schwinn 20″ Youth S-2 Rim Ballooner Bikes. Oddly Enough these work for Common 28 Hole 20″ Rims at Cross 3 and 36 hole 20″ Rims at a cross 4 pattern, laced to most all Vintage Morrow, New Departure, Musselman, Bendix Skip Tooth Coaster Brake Hubs and Front Hubs. These are not the size spoke for S-7 Rims. Spokes are New Old Stock but may show age from shelf life. You can see a variance of spokes shade / color, but that is hard to tell once laced to the wheel. Some of these are dusty / powdery and I would recommend light steel wool rub without solvent to clean before use, solvents can darken appearance. The Box will lace two ( a set ) of 20″ 28 hole wheels and come with 1/2″ long nipples, That’s 56 plus a few spares. Most shops have a spoke length calculator that works out spoke lengths based on your rim, hub, number of spokes, and lacing technique.
